SPEC Pak
(Sealed Power for Environmental Conditions)
SPEC Pak is ideal for any solar, wind, hydro or other green power applications requiring a rugged environmentally-sealed IP68 connection and has an operating range of – 40 to 105 degrees Celsius.
SPEC Pak utilises the same high-power flat-wipe technology that Anderson Power Products invented for use in SB battery connectors and Powerpoles. SPEC Pak housings create a rugged watertight and weather-proof IP68 enclosure to protect electrical components from water, dust and other harsh environmental contaminants.
SPEC Pak housings contain the proven high-current powerpoles in almost limitless combinations that are user defined. These very high quality modular connectors are capable of substituting for traditional metal circular connectors but invariably provide a lower cost solution, often very much so. In addition to being cheaper per termination SPEC Pak's tremendous versatility and modular design greatly reduces stockholding. Should circumstances change, this modular design also enables a simple re-design, possibly at no cost as all components can be re-used in a different configuration. Virtually any combination of AC or DC power, signal and first make – last break earth can be configured by the customer in a range of standard IP68 rated housings that is still being expanded. Power per pole varies from 1 amp to 310 amps at up to 1,000 volts ac or DC.
For safety and convenience, all poles within the SPEC Pak housing are colour coded and finger proof versions are available.
Other benefits include a high number of mating cycles; high power to cost or size ratio, a wide range of wire sizes and easy assembly and configuration. It is possible to have an environmentally-sealed, high-current IP68 connector with complex power and signal configuration, yet still have field based assembly.
Typically applications for SPEC Pak are off-road vehicles, mass transportation, factory automation, oil and petroleum exploration, agricultural equipment, electric vehicle charging and control, solar power, wind power and many more. Spec Pak will replace circulars in any application and can be used in many more high power applications.
